Amendment No. 1 of 2022

Amendment No. 1 of 2022 contains amendments to Parts I, II, VII, VIII, X, XVI and XVIII and Appendix B of the Singapore International Commercial Court Practice Directions. The amendments are summarised below:

1. amendments to paragraph 2, on interpretation;
2. amendments to paragraph 5, on scope of application of these Practice Directions;
3. amendments to paragraph 9, on court dress;
4. amendments to paragraph 15, on urgent applications after office hours, on weekends and public holidays;
5. amendments to paragraph 16, on interpreters and translation;
6. amendments to paragraph 17, on production of record of hearing;
7. amendments to paragraph 20, on access to case file, inspection, obtaining copies and searches;
8. amendments to paragraph 21, on personal data;
9. amendments to paragraph 22, on filing directions to Accountant-General for payment into and out of Court;
10. amendments to paragraph 41, on electronic payment of fees and charges;
11. amendments to paragraph 45, on filing documents via the Service Bureau;
12. amendments to paragraph 58, on applications to use teleconference and video conference facilities and usage of additional equipment;
13. amendments to paragraph 59, on applications to use the Mobile Infocomm Technology Facilities (“MIT facilities”);
14. amendments to paragraph 66, on proceedings commenced by Originating Summons;
15. amendments to paragraph 67, on identification numbers to be stated in cause papers;
16. amendments to paragraph 98, on conduct of hearings;
17. amendments to paragraph 114, on documentary exhibits to affidavits; and
18. amendments to Form 18 of Appendix B, on Appeals Information Sheet.

The amendments will take effect on 1 April 2022 and will be reflected at https://www.judiciary.gov.sg/news-and-resources/sicc-practice-directions from 1 April 2022.
