Civil

A company may be wound up voluntarily or by an order of court (compulsory winding up). Compulsory winding up is a process in which a party applies for a court order to wind up a company. The High Court (General Division) hears such applications.

The Employment Claims Tribunals hear salary-related and wrongful dismissal disputes between employers and employees.

The Small Claims Tribunals hear claims up to $30,000. Common types of disputes involve goods, services, or residential tenancy agreements not exceeding 2 years.
