Amendment No. 3 of 2021

Amendment No. 3 of 2021 of the Practice Directions contains amendments to Parts I and XI and Appendix A of the Supreme Court Practice Directions. It also introduces a new Part XXV of the Supreme Court Practice Directions. The amendments are summarised below:

1. amendments to paragraph 5 on Applicability of Practice Directions;
2. amendments to paragraph 90A on Applications in civil matters before the Court of Appeal and civil matters before the Appellate Division;
3. introduction of new paragraph 92A on Lapse or cancellation of Grant of Aid under the Legal Aid and Advice Act and the Legal Aid and Advice Regulations;
4. introduction of new paragraph 160 on Judge Pre-Trial Conference Checklist for criminal cases in the General Division;
5. amendments to the following Forms under Appendix A:
   
   • Form 28 (ADR Offer);
   • Form 29 (Response to ADR Offer);
   • Form 31A (Submissions for Application for Leave to Appeal against a Decision of the General Division (Applicant));
   • Form 31B (Submissions for Application for Leave to Appeal against a Decision of the General Division (Respondent));
   • Form 32A (Submissions for Application for Leave to Appeal against a Decision of the Appellate Division (Applicant));
   • Form 32B (Submissions for Application for Leave to Appeal against a Decision of the Appellate Division (Respondent)); and
6. introduction of new Form 33 (Judge Pre-Trial Conference Checklist for criminal cases in the General Division) under Appendix A.

The amendments will take effect on 30 April 2021 and will be reflected at https://epd.supremecourt.gov.sg/ from 30 April 2021. The amendments set out at sub-paragraphs (2) and (5)(c) to (5)(f) above will apply to applications filed on or after 30 April 2021.
