Amendment No. 2 of 2021

Amendment No. 2 of 2021 of the Singapore International Commercial Court Practice Directions contains amendments to Parts VIII and XVIII and Appendices B and D of the Singapore International Commercial Court Practice Directions. The amendments are summarised below:

1. amendments to paragraph 57, on technology facilities for use during trials or hearings;
2. amendments to paragraph 58, on applications to use teleconference and video conference facilities and usage of additional equipment;
3. amendments to paragraph 59, on applications to use the Mobile Infocomm Technology Facilities (“MIT facilities”);
4. the deletion of paragraph 60, on fees;
5. the insertion of paragraph 114A, on swearing and signing of affidavits in Singapore before, and completing of attestation by, commissioner for oaths through live video link or live television link;
6. an amendment to paragraph 115, on effect of non-compliance;
7. amendments to Form 7 under Appendix B, on a request to use teleconference and video conference facilities or MIT facilities; and
8. the deletion of Appendix D, on fees for use of the teleconference, video conference, audio-visual and MIT facilities.

The amendments will take effect on 2 June 2021.
