Changes to SJC Board of Governors

The Singapore Judicial College is pleased to announce new appointments to its Board of Governors (“the Board”).

The Honourable the Chief Justice has appointed former Chair of the Board, Senior Judge Andrew Phang as Senior Advisor to the Board with effect from 2 January 2023, following His Honour’s retirement on 15 December 2022. The Chief Justice has appointed Justice Kwek Mean Luck as Chair of the Board. 

The Chief Justice has also appointed Justice Philip Jeyaretnam, President of the Singapore International Commercial Court, as Deputy Chair of the Board with effect from 1 January 2023. His Honour succeeds former Deputy Chair of the Board Justice Quentin Loh, who retired on 24 December 2022, and joins current Deputy Chair of the Board Justice See Kee Oon.

The Chief Justice has also appointed District Judge Shawn Ho, the Deputy Executive Director of the Singapore Judicial College, as a member of the Board with effect from 1 January 2023. The Chief Justice has previously appointed Justice Hoo Sheau Peng and Chief Executive of the Supreme Court Ms Juthika Ramanathan as members of the Board in 2022.
