Empirical Judicial Research

The SJC is now inviting proposals for the Empirical Judicial Research (“EJR”) Grant Scheme for 2026.

The EJR Grant Scheme provides funding for research projects exploring issues relating to the justice system and the work of the Judiciary – such as (but not limited to) access to justice, technology and the courts, judicial ethics, judgecraft and bench skills, and judicial education. Researchers may apply as individuals or as a team.

For the EJR Grant Scheme 2026, all submissions should be sent via email to SJC@judiciary.gov.sg by 31 March 2026, with “[EJR Proposal>” in the email subject line.
