Special Sitting of Criminal Mentions Court (Court 4A) on Sunday, 15 November 2020

In view of the Deepavali public holiday, there will be a special sitting of the Criminal Mentions Court on Sunday, 15 November 2020, in Court No. 4A.

This special sitting, presided by a District Judge, will enable constitutional and statutory compliance by the investigation agencies to produce all arrested persons before a Magistrate within 48 hours. There will also be a Field Magistrate on duty during this period.

The District Judge on duty will enable arrested persons to be produced before the Court on 15 November 2020 and, where appropriate, for them to be released on bail. 

These special arrangements are in furtherance of the State Courts' mission to administer justice.
