In view of the Labour Day public holiday, there will be a special sitting of the Criminal Mentions Court on Monday, 1 May 2023, in Court No. 4A.
This special sitting, presided by a District Judge, will enable constitutional and statutory compliance by the investigation agencies to produce all arrested persons before a Magistrate within 48 hours. There will also be a Field Magistrate on duty during this period.
The District Judge on duty will enable arrested persons to be produced before the Court on 1 May 2023 and, where appropriate, for them to be released on bail.
These special arrangements are in furtherance of the State Courts' mission to administer justice.
